BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board will be hosting a Back to School Book Drive throughout the month of June.
The EBR Parish School Board is partnering with Investar Bank and Barnes & Noble for the Back to School Book Drive, which aims at enhancing libraries in the district, according to a news release.
Residents, local businesses and organizations are asked to donate “new and gently used book suitable for K-12 students,” according to a news release.
Check out the following drop-off sites for the Back to School Book Drive:
- Investar Bank: 7244 Perkins Road, 10922A Coursey Blvd. and 18101 Highland Market Drive.
- Barnes & Noble: 7707 Bluebonnet Blvd. and 2590 Citiplace Court.
The event will be held from Saturday, June 1, to Sunday, June 30.
According to a news release, EBR Parish School Board members will be reading books at the Barnes & Noble locations listed above from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. Vendors and activities will also be available.
