Summit Trailer's entry level line of metal-sided utility trailers includes this Alpine 6x12 utility. Even though it's their lower cost line, these Alpine trailers are very well built. The trailer tongue is made of rectangular steel tubing - most other manufacturers use channel for the tongue. A heavy duty 3,500 lb. cambered axle with easy-lube hubs is more than enough to carry the payload on this trailer. This unit has Summit's unique split ramp package. It's a single swing door and a pair of loading ramps in one! The rear swing door is made up of two ramps that swing open, allowing you to walk right up to the back of the trailer for easy loading and unloading of boxes, landscaping materials, or other cargo. No ramp gate in the way. Then.....each ramp can be easily lifted off its hinges and set in place on the back of the trailer for loading an ATV or other wheeled vehicle.
